On Friday late night dacoity occurred in the house of grocery shop owner Rama Shankar Gupta at Kanhauli Bazar under Kanhauli police station in which the masked and armed men mercilessly beaten up the family members and looted property worth ₹ 3 Lakh in theform of cash and jewelleries. They fled away towards Nepal. Kanhauli village is situated near Indo-Nepal border and police station is also there.When villagers started collecting to challenge them they hurled a few bombs.Sitamarhi SP Amit Ranjan visited the site along with FSL team. Dog squad had been placed to trace the lead. They would be arrested soon; assured the SP.
