Kanpur: The body of a 55-year-old physiotherapist Bhagwandas was recovered from a locked house in Maswanpur area of Kanpur, on Monday.On noticing a strong foul smell coming from the house on Monday morning neighbours informed the police. When the police opened the doors, the body was found inside.Bhagwandas lived with his female companion Madhu. She left for some work a few days ago and Bhagwandas was alone at home.Kalyanpur police station police and a forensic team reached the spot and collected evidence. As per the preliminary investigation it appears to be a case of suicide. The body has been sent for postmortem to find the real cause of death.Kalyanpur inspector Keshav Kumar Tiwari said it is suspected that he died by suicide. Further action will be taken on the basis of the postmortem report.
