Mysuru: An incident of a man allegedly barging into the house of a BLO in Nanjangud and then threatening her over exercise related to special intensive revision (SIR) was reported in Mysuru on Sunday.Police have registered a FIR accusing the accused of trespassing and intentionally insulting her in the house and launched a probe.Biligere police have launched an investigation into the week-old incident, which came to light after Latha S, an anganwadi worker, who is currently working as booth level officer (BLO) at Mullur village, knocked on the door of Biligere police and filed a complaint against Mahendra Kumar of Mullur village.Latha told TOI that the incident happened when she was alone at home with two young children aged 4 and 5 years around 8.30 pm on July 13, and it left her shattered and discouraged from continuing work. Latha said she has been working as a BLO in part number 77 of Mullur village.According to the FIR, the complainant submitted a complaint to police accusing Kumar of entering her house on the night when her husband was away, and he allegedly misbehaved with her, using filthy language and harassed her.On the night of July 13 around 8.30pm, Mahendra Kumar came to her house allegedly in an intoxicated state and behaved improperly with her. Without her permission, he took photographs of the SIR voter application forms and said, “You (Latha) have ruined/deleted the votes of 300 people in the village.”When contacted, SP Mallikarjun Baladandi said he would look into the incident.
