Shivamogga: Following BJP state president BY Vijayendra’s statement about holding a legislature party meeting at the Sri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmasthala to make MLAs take an oath, Shivamogga MLA SN Channabasappa strongly reacted to the situation, expressing immense anger over the recent cross-voting debacle in the legislative council (MLC) elections.Speaking to reporters in Shivamogga, Channabasappa emphasised organisational discipline and lashed out at the MLAs who voted for Congress candidates. He stated that they are individuals who accept the party as their mother and strictly followed whatever the party leadership directed for all these years, voting precisely for whoever the party instructed them to vote for.He expressed regret that a situation arose where they cannot trust their own workers and elected representatives.Demanding direct action, he stated that they cannot hang those who did this, but they must be expelled from the party because this cross-voting is not just an insult to the state president, but an insult to the BJP.
