Nagpur: After a brief respite from cloudy skies and gusty winds, Vidarbha is again bracing for intense heat, with temperatures likely to approach 45°C this week.IMD data on Monday showed Akola as the hottest city at 45.1°C, followed by Amravati (44°C) and Wardha (43.8°C). Nagpur recorded 42°C, while Buldhana and Washim registered 43.2°C and 42.6°C, respectively.The IMD has forecast dry weather across the region over the next few days, which is expected to push day temperatures higher. Heatwave-like conditions are likely in districts including Nagpur, Akola, Wardha, Chandrapur, and Amravati.The weekend’s weather activity offered only temporary relief. With clear skies returning, strong solar heating has triggered a fresh rise in temperatures.Authorities have advised residents to avoid outdoor exposure during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
