T’puram: Nedumangad Police on Tuesday arrested nine persons in connection with a case involving the alleged hurling of explosive substances near the Nedumangad district hospital.According to the police, the incident occurred on Sunday following a dispute between two groups over a financial transaction involving Krishnanuunni and Vishnu.The dispute reportedly escalated into a confrontation, following which explosive substances were allegedly thrown on the hospital premises.The accused have been identified as Krishnanuunni, 27, Anoop, 29, Sadiq, 28, Biju, 27, Sheejin, 34, Harikrishnan, 27, Vishnu, 27, Suraj, 30, and Rajesh, 32.Police said the accused were traced to Vattiyoorkavu-Kachani area and taken into custody by a team led by Nedumangad police station SHO Prasad, SI Basith Ibrahim and ASI Ambareesh.The accused were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.
