Chennai: An 82-year-old woman died after being hit by a private bus at Chengalpet on Monday. The deceased, Kathima Bi, 82, had come to Chengalpet to visit her younger sister Noor Bee. After staying over for a day, she went to Chengalpet new bus stand to return home.While she was walking inside the bus stand, a private bus entered the premises at high speed and hit her. The impact caused her to collapse on the spot.Police rushed to the scene and sent her to Chengalpet govt hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared her brought dead.
