Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPDC) announced that 722 candidates secured seats out of the 790 available across participating institutes, during the first round of allotment for Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) admissions for 2026-27 academic year. The online choice-filling process for Round 1 was conducted between July 8 and July 12.According to ACPDC data, 1,130 students featured in the merit list before the first round. Of these, 1,018 participated in the online choice-filling process. The first round resulted in 722 admissions, leaving 68 seats vacant.The committee said 112 merit-listed candidates failed to secure admission primarily because they did not fill enough preferences or did not opt for choices aligned with their merit rank.Candidates can check their allotment status through the official admission portal. To confirm their seats, students must pay the token tuition fee online, while those eligible for zero-fee admission can complete confirmation directly on the portal. The deadline for confirming admission and downloading the admission letter was July 19.ACPDC clarified that candidates are not required to submit original documents to institutes during the online admission rounds and may participate in subsequent rounds if they wish to seek an upgraded allotment.
