New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, Delhi govt has transferred or assigned additional charges to 72 senior officers, including 36 officers from the Arunachal Pradesh–Goa–Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 36 Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service (DANICS) officers, across key departments. The overhaul follows the transfer of several IAS officers out of Delhi and the posting of many new officers to the Capital. Among the significant changes, 1998-batch IAS officer Santosh D Vaidya has been appointed principal secretary (Home). He will also hold additional charges of finance, planning and industries. 1992-batch IAS officer Bipul Pathak, additional chief secretary (Social Welfare), has been given additional charge of the SC/ST/OBC department.

Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) CEO 2006-batch IAS officer Rupesh Kumar Thakur has been appointed secretary (Health and Family Welfare). He replaces 2002-batch IAS officer Nikhil Kumar, who has been posted as commissioner (Trade and Taxes). The education department has also undergone changes. Sanjeev Ahuja, 2011-batch IAS officer, who recently joined Delhi govt, has been appointed secretary (Education) with additional charge of higher education and technical education. Pandurang K Pole, 2004-batch IAS officer, who previously held this role, has been shifted to the general administration department with additional charge of labour commissioner. New Delhi district magistrate (DM) Sunny Kumar Singh, 2018-batch IAS officer, has been given additional charge of special secretary (Power), a post left vacant after the transfer of Ravi Dadhich. The reshuffle extends to civic bodies as well. IAS officers Sanjeev Kumar Mittal, B S Jaglan and Satyendra Singh Dursawat have been appointed additional commissioners in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). 2014-batch IAS officer Swetika Sachan, deputy commissioner in MCD, has been posted as member (Administration) in the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). Aman Gupta, 2013-batch IAS officer, who was awaiting posting after his transfer from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has replaced Jaglan in DJB. At the district level, 2018-batch IAS officer Hari Kallikkat has been appointed DM (West), while 2020-batch IAS officer Vishakha Yadav will take charge as DM (Outer North).
