Chandigarh: Breakaway Akali faction Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjit) on Sunday released its first list of coordinators for 31 assembly constituencies for the 2027 Punjab elections.The list includes seven former ministers from SAD-led govts, including Adaish Partap Singh Kairon, Sukhbir Singh Badal’s brother-in-law and husband of his sister Parneet Kaur. Kairon has been appointed coordinator for Patti, the constituency he represented as an SAD MLA for four consecutive terms from 1997 to 2012.The other former ministers appointed as coordinators are five-time former SAD MLA Parminder Singh Dhindsa for Lehragaga, Sucha Singh Chhotepur for Dera Baba Nanak, Jagir Kaur for Bholath, Gobind Singh Longowal for Sunam, Rattan Singh Ajnala for Ajnala and Sarwan Singh Phillaur for Phillaur.Other appointments include Gurpartap Singh Wadala for Nakodar, Gaganjit Singh Barnala for Barnala, Parkash Chand Garg for Sangrur, Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra for Sanour, Justice Nirmal Singh (retd) for Bassi Pathana, Ajaipal Singh Mirankot for Attari, Ranjit Singh Chhajalwaddi for Baba Bakala, Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad for Zira and Jarnail Singh Garhdiwal for Adampur.The list also names Manjit Singh Dasuha for Urmar Tanda, Amit Sethi Thopia for Balachaur, Harjit Kaur Talwandi for Jalandhar Cantonment, Baltej Singh Mehduda for Amloh, Mahinder Singh Hussainpur for Nawanshahr, Amandeep Singh Banni Brar for Faridkot, Bhupinder Singh Sekhupur for Ghanaur, Ravinder Singh Shahpur for Nabha, Charanjit Singh Mavi for Samana, Randhir Singh Rakhra for Patiala Rural, Rajinder Kaur for Dera Bassi, Mohan Singh Laloka for Ferozepur Rural, Madan Mohan Singh for Sham Chaurasi, Malkit Singh Samau for Budhlada and Santa Singh Umaidpuri for Sahnewal.
