Patna: Construction of 656 rural roads spanning 5,688km under Phase III of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) has been completed in Bihar, the rural works department said on Tuesday.Of the 733 sanctioned roads covering 6,162km, work on the remaining 76 roads, measuring 311km, is in progress. The department has directed agencies to complete the projects on time.All Phase III roads have been completed in Muzaffarpur, Banka, East Champaran and Purnia districts. Construction is also nearing completion in Kishanganj, Darbhanga and Katihar with only small stretches remaining, the department said.
