Kolkata: It was a virtual cat-and-mouse game between Holi revellers — mostly on bikes — and cops who stood guard at key points in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday. There were over 2,000 traffic prosecutions and reports of clashes, the biggest of which was reported from Topsia, where at least four persons were injured following drunken revelry.Cops arrested 330 people on Tuesday and detained another 45 until Wednesday evening for alleged unruly behaviour and roaming in an intoxicated state; 277 were arrested on Wednesday. Cops said around 100 drink-driving cases were registered in the past 48 hours. Police also seized 25 litres of alcohol. Around 4,000 personnel were deployed to maintain order. Cops set up 400 pickets, heavy radio flying squads were deployed, and 62 PCR vans and QRTs patrolled the city.
