The English exam for Higher Secondary students took place at 3,604 centres statewide, with around 6,12,609 candidates appearing.

Bhopal: 7 cases of cheating in Bhopal and 6 in Morena and Gwalior districts surfaced across two districts in the Class 12 Board exam for the English subject, conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE).

Notably, 6 cases occurred at Bhopal’s centre no 632711, prompting directives for disciplinary measures against the involved supervisors. CCTV aided in regulating centre operations. The MPBSE examinations commenced on Tuesday. The English exam for Higher Secondary students took place at 3,604 centres statewide, with around 6,12,609 candidates appearing.

This year, MPBSE installed CCTV cameras at 226 centres across nine districts in a pilot project for continuous monitoring.

Live streams from these cameras were relayed to control rooms at the Board headquarters and district Collector and District Education Officer offices to curb cheating and oversee centre activities.

Central Control Room monitoring detected suspected cheating and negligent supervisors at centres, and affected districts received orders for immediate action.
