Hyderabad: A road accident on the Nizamabad-Adilabad highway stretch led to six persons suffering injuries on Monday.As per the police, a truck’s tyre getting deflated led to the accident, in which nine vehicles got damaged in a cascading effect. Immediately after the truck halted in the middle of the road, a car which was close behind it, hit the truck. Nearly seven cars, which were following these damaged vehicles, had started to slow down. But another lorry, which was behind these seven cars, hit the last car in the row from the rear as the driver could not control the speed of his vehicle.In a cascading effect, multiple cars were badly damaged. Luckily, all the six persons who escaped with injuries, are stated to be out of danger. Following the accident, traffic was halted for a long time on the stretch.Police reached the spot and diverted the traffic. The injured were also rushed to the hospital. “We have registered a case against the two lorry drivers,’’ Indalwai police told TOI. It took a few hours for the police to remove the damaged vehicles from the road.
