RAJKOT: Six people, including a couple and their six-month-old daughter, were killed when their Ertiga car collided head-on with a truck, which reportedly entered the wrong side on the Junagadh bypass, on Saturday.The deceased have been identified as Shailesh Dalwadi (30), his wife Pooja Dalwadi (28), their six-month-old daughter Rahi Dalwadi, Prakash Barot (35), Raju Barot (55), and Manju Barot.According to police sources, Shailesh, Pooja and their daughter were natives of Viramgam, while the other three victims were residents of Ahmedabad.Sub-inspector Suresh Damor of Junagadh Taluka police station said preliminary investigation revealed that the family was on its way to Somnath to immerse the ashes of a deceased relative.Near the hotel, a truck allegedly entered the wrong side of the road, resulting in a head-on collision with the car.Four occupants died on the spot, while two others succumbed to injuries during treatment at a hospital.Two injured survivors are undergoing treatment.
