Kanpur: The West Zone Surveillance Team recovered 51 lost mobile phones by acting on the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal and public grievance applications. The action was taken under the direction of the Police Commissioner, Commissionerate Kanpur Nagar, and under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) S M Qasim Abidi.The recovered mobile phones were estimated to be worth about Rs 10 lakh.After the necessary verification and legal procedures, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) handed over all the mobile phones to their rightful owners. The beneficiaries praised the Kanpur Nagar Police for their promptness, technical expertise, and spirit of public service.
