NEW DELHI: A major fire broke out at the Nature Bazaar market near Andheria Mor in south Delhi on Sunday morning, gutting around 50 shops and prompting a large firefighting operation, officials said.According to the Delhi Fire Services, a distress call about the blaze was received at 7.37am.Ten fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the spot to bring the flames under control, no injuries have been reported so far.Firefighters launched an extensive effort to contain the blaze and stop it from spreading to nearby areas.The fire started at the Nature Bazaar market in the Lado Sarai area, where several temporary and semi-permanent stalls selling handicrafts and other items are located.Witnesses reported thick smoke rising from the market as the flames spread quickly through several shops in the busy complex.Fire personnel continued cooling operations to fully extinguish the fire, while the cause of the incident is yet to be determined.Police teams also reached the site to manage the crowd and assist the firefighting operation.
