Ludhiana: A five-year-old boy was seriously injured after being mauled by a pack of stray dogs at Ikolahi village on Monday morning. Sival Yadav, victim Deepak Kumar’s father, said that his son went to the fields near their house to bring green fodder for cattle on Monday. He added that the boy lagged behind momentarily and was attacked by a pack of seven to eight stray dogs. He rushed to the child’s rescue and took him to the civil hospital.Dr Frankie, who tended to the child, said that he suffered several injuries. She added that he was referred to a hospital in Patiala.Jan 11: A 10-year-old boy was mauled to death by stray dogs in Hussanpur village. Another such incident was reported from the area where stray dogs killed another child after attacking him outside his house. The deceased was identified as 11-year-old Harsukhpreet Singh.March 24: A 10-year-old boy was mauled to death by stray dogs in Mohi village. The deceased was identified as Sanjeev Kumar from Bihar.
