In the early days of a relationship, couples often make an effort to impress each other. They plan dates, send thoughtful messages and notice the little things.
Over time, work, children, bills and everyday responsibilities can take over. Before long, the relationship starts running on routine.
That’s when appreciation matters most.
A simple thank-you, a genuine compliment or asking how his day went can make a difference. If he has worked hard to support the family, acknowledge it. If he’s trying to become a better partner, let him know you see the effort.
Of course, appreciation shouldn’t be one-sided. A wife also deserves to have her efforts noticed, her sacrifices acknowledged and her needs taken seriously.
Neither partner should feel taken for granted.
