Prayagakj: A teachers’ felicitation ceremony was organised on Saturday at the Sangam auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate (Prayagraj) Manish Kumar Verma to mark the birth anniversary of India’s second President, great teacher, and philosopher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.The event was organized jointly by the secondary education department and the basic shiksha adhikari. A total of 49 teachers—25 from the secondary education and 24 from the basic education department—were honoured by the DM with certificates of appreciation and traditional shawls (angavastra) in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the field of education. Speaking on the occasion, the district magistrate remarked that a teacher is a builder not only of an individual but also of society and the nation.During the ceremony, Joint Director of Education RN Vishwakarma extended his best wishes to the teachers.
