Times News NetworkKanpur: Around 450 chess players from across the country will participate in the seventh CISCE Chess Championship to be hosted by Sheiling House School from Oct 9 to 11.The three-day championship will be conducted in Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 age groups in both boys’ and girls’ categories.She said only state teams would participate in the championship, besides one overseas team from the UAE. The winners of the championship will be considered for selection to the teams for School Games Federation of India (SGFI).The matches will be conducted by officials of Chess Federation of India and played according to the rules laid down by FIDE and All India Chess Federation (AICF).
