Prayagraj: Around 45.12 percent aspirants on Sunday appeared for the written examination for lecturer grade conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) on the second day on Sunday. The commission claimed the exam was conducted in a transparent manner, free of unfair means, across the state. Officials said as many as 1,03,168 candidates including 41.92 % women and 48.08 % men appeared on the second day of the exam, while 89,766 (38.04%) candidates were present on the first day on May 9. A total of 1,92,934 ( 41.53 %) candidates appeared in the exam on both days.The exam was in 18 subjects, across 17 divisional headquarters in UP. To ensure complete transparency, the commission implemented an AI-based monitoring system. An AI-integrated control command room was set up at the commission headquarters, from where all centres were monitored continuously in real time. AI-enabled surveillance cameras installed at centres were used to keep strict watch on candidates’ activities throughout the examination process.
