KUTCH: Four persons, including two children from the same family, were killed after the fuel tank of a commercial vehicle exploded at a scrap yard in Gujarat’s Kutch district on Saturday, police said.The incident took place in the Nakhatrana area on Saturday afternoon, according to news agency PTI.“Four persons, including two children, have died following what appears to be a blast in the diesel tank of a small commercial vehicle in Nakhatrana,” said Police Inspector A M Patel.The deceased were identified as Mohammed Iliyas (30), Noor Mohammad Iliyas (26), Hussain Mohammed (3.5) and Noor Fatima (3).According to officials, Mohammed Iliyas and Noor Mohammad Iliyas were unloading scrap from the vehicle when the explosion occurred. The force of the blast was so powerful that the two children, who were standing near the vehicle, also lost their lives.Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
