Buxar District Magistrate Sahila reviewed revenue collection for December 2025 and January 2026, commending Chakki for standout performance while seeking explanations from Simri, Buxar, Kesath, and Itadhi for slower progress. The meeting also covered land verification, encroachment removal, and disposal of applications under Revenue Maha Abhiyan, with a focus on building a land bank.

Buxar: District magistrate Sahila on Monday reviewed zone-wise revenue collection for Dec 2025 and Jan 2026, commending high-performing zones while seeking explanations from those showing poor progress. Held at the collectorate conference hall, the meeting also assessed land verification status, encroachment removal efforts, and the timely disposal of applications under the Revenue Maha Abhiyan.Based on satisfactory performance in priority revenue works—such as Abhiyan Basera-2, Parimarjan Plus, mutation, land measurement, land revenue collection, and other related tasks—Chakki Zone secured 6th rank, Chaugai 46th, and Chausa 52nd.The DM appreciated the improved performance of the circle officers of Chakki, Chaugai and Chausa and directed that commendation letters be issued to them. Overall, seven zones performed satisfactorily in the rankings.However, the circle officers of Simri, Buxar, Kesath and Itadhi were asked to submit explanations within 24 hours for unsatisfactory progress in their respective rankings. The DM further directed officials of these zones to identify and verify govt land and submit reports in the prescribed format for the creation of a land bank.During the review of encroachments, officials reported that 16 govt lands in Rajpur, nine in Itadhi, five in Chausa and two in Buxar are currently under encroachment. The DM instructed officials to remove these encroachments on priority and ensure timely disposal of all applications received under the Revenue Maha Abhiyan.
