Thane: A case has been registered against a man and three others for assaulting a 20-year-old student with a hockey stick outside a college at Vashi on Tuesday after the latter asked him to speak Marathi, officials said.The altercation began when one of the accused, Faizan Naik, objected to being spoken to in Marathi. Naik and three others attacked the complainant, police said. The prime accused struck the student on the head with a hockey stick, causing severe injury. The others kicked and punching him, leaving him bleeding, the police said. PTI
