Done: VirHyderabad: Severe heatwave conditions continued to grip Telangana for the third consecutive day on Friday, with several districts recording temperatures above 46℃. According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), Sirpur in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district recorded the highest temperature in the state at 46.5℃.Several other districts also witnessed extreme temperatures, including Dharmapuri in Jagitial, Gangadhara in Karimnagar, Kazipet in Mancherial, Yergatla in Nizamabad, Konaraopet in Rajanna Sircilla and Mothey in Suryapet, all recording 46.4℃. Temperatures of 46.3℃ were recorded in Kamalapur (Hanumakonda), Mogullapally (Bhupalapally), Khammam, Eturnagaram (Mulugu) and Khanapur (Nirmal).Northern and eastern parts of the state are under intense heat stress currently. Weather experts warned that there is no immediate respite in sight, with heatwave conditions likely to continue over the next five to six days in these districts.In contrast, south Telangana, including Hyderabad district, which recorded an average temperature of 40.7℃, remained relatively comfortable due to cloud cover during morning hours, which helped keep temperatures slightly lower compared to the severely affected northern districts.
