Varanasi: A mega-campaign will be launched in Domri, Ramnagar on March 1, under which three lakh saplings will be planted within just one hour. Mayor Ashok Kumar Tiwari held a meeting with councillors at the municipal corporation auditorium on Thursday and appealed to them to reach Domri with at least 50 supporters on the occasion. Municipal commissioner Himanshu Nagpal said that the 350 bigha area of Domri is being developed as a vast ‘forest area’. ” This dense plantation will bring down Varanasi’s temperature and provide relief from dust pollution,” he said.
