Patna: BJP national general secretary Nitin Nabin on Friday announced the appointment of 38 office-bearers of the party’s Bihar unit and the heads of seven frontal organisations. All of them will function under the leadership of state BJP president Sanjay Saraogi.The new team includes three sitting and three former MLAs among the state office-bearers.The appointments comprise 14 vice-presidents, five general secretaries, 14 state secretaries, two co-treasurers, and one each for the posts of state headquarters in charge and office secretary. The party has given representation to nine women in the new organisational structure.Among the former MLAs, Haribhushan Thakur Bachol, Pawan Jaiswal and Pranay Kumar Yadav have been appointed vice-presidents. Sitting MLA Trivikram Narayan Singh has been made a state secretary. MLA Nisha Singh has been appointed state president of the Mahila Morcha, while MLA Sujit Paswan will head the party’s scheduled caste (SC) forum.The list of vice-presidents also includes Rakesh Kumar, Santosh Pathak, Manoj Kumar Singh, Santosh Ranjan Rai, Nand Prasad Chauhan, Anil Thakur, Mukesh Sharma and Balram Mandal.The five general secretaries are Saroj Ranjan Patel, Dhanraj Sharma, Priti Shekhar, Nitin Abhishek and Rajesh Jha alias Raju Jha.Among the women office-bearers, Anamika Paswan, Shobha Singh and Sheila Kushwaha have been appointed vice-presidents, while Priti Shekhar has been made general secretary. Sushma Sahu, Ragini Rani, Anjani Nishad, Seema Jha and Sarla Rajak have been appointed state secretaries.Rajesh Sinha and Ankur Gupta have been named co-treasurers. Akshay Kumar has been appointed in charge of the party’s state headquarters, while Vinay Tiwari will serve as office secretary.Among the frontal organisation appointments, Jitendra Singh has been made state president of the Yuva Morcha, Sumiran Singh will head the Kisan Morcha, Pramod Chandravanshi has been appointed OBC Morcha chief, Niranjan Pamjiar Tharu will head the Scheduled Tribe (ST) forum, and Mahbool Haq has been named chief of the Minority Morcha.
