Kanpur: As many as 37 persons with disabilities were offered jobs by various companies at a mega employment fair organised at the Government ITI campus in Pandu Nagar on Tuesday.Nearly 180 candidates participated in the fair, of whom 37 were selected by companies after interviews, while 50 were registered under the self-employment scheme.Among them, Shadowfax Technologies Pvt Ltd selected 10 candidates; Dr Reddy’s Foundation, eight; Zomato Pvt Ltd, four; Work Setu, four; S-Word, three; Pravik Bulltech, three; GTV Hospital, one; Aashray Community Hospital, two; and Lovleen Malhotra Cambridge High Educational Society, two.District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh and chief development officer Abhinav J. Jain interacted with the candidates at the venue.The DM said the employment campaign would continue until Aug 10, 2026.“Any person with a disability aged between 18 and 40 years who is interested in employment or self-employment can contact the Skill Development Mission office located on the premises of the Government ITI, Pandu Nagar, on any working day,” he said.A free medical camp for persons with disabilities was also organised during the job fair.
