Hyderabad: Three persons died and another suffered injuries when a two-wheeler they were travelling on was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction in Vikarabad district on Monday morning.The deceased were identified as Kaviraj, 40, a private financier from Zaheerabad, his wife Pavani, 35, and their daughter, Keerthana, 11. The couple’s son, Karthik, 13, sustained injuries in the accident. On Sunday, the couple, along with their two children, went to Rukmapur, native place of Pavani, to meet her family to discuss her brother’s wedding scheduled for next month, Peddemul sub-inspector (SI) Prashant Vardhan said. After meeting the family, the victims started their return journey to Zaheerabad on a scooter in the early hours of Monday. “When the scooty reached Tattepalli village under Peddemul mandal around 6.30am, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit it. The driver of the truck drove in a negligent manner and came to the right half of the road. The couple and their daughter died on the spot with severe injuries. Karthik also sustained injuries and he was shifted to Niloufer Hospital for treatment,” the SI said.Based on the complaint of the victim’s family, a case was registered against the truck driver under Sections 106 (1) (Causing death due to negligence) and 125 (a) (Causing hurt by an act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the BNS.The truck driver, Md Sharif, was issued a notice as per law. Bodies of the victims were handed over to the family after the post-mortem at Tandur govt hospital. The couple and their daughter died on the spot with severe injuries. Their son Karthik sustained injuries and he was shifted to Niloufer Hospital for treatment
