Mangaluru: CCB wing of Mangaluru police arrested 3 persons who allegedly procured MDMA from Bengaluru and attempted to sell it to the public and students in Ullal taluk.City police commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy stated that acting on credible information that MDMA was being transported from Bengaluru to Mangaluru and sold in the Talapady area of Ullal taluk from a grey car, CCB police conducted an operation on Thursday. The team traced the vehicle while the accused allegedly sold the narcotic substance to the public, and took them into custody.The arrested accused are Mustafa Sidiyabba,34, Mayyadi,28, and Mohammed Shifan,28, from Ullal. From their possession, police seized 118.1g of MDMA valued at Rs 11.9 lakh, four mobile phones, and a grey car. The total value of the seized items is estimated at Rs 18 lakh. A case was registered at Ullal police station.Police said that accused Mustafa Seediyabba was previously involved in a cattle theft case registered at Kankanady Town police station, while accused Mayyadi has a prior assault case registered within Ullal police station limits.An investigation is ongoing, as several others are suspected to be involved in the drug trafficking network.
