Rourkela: Three persons, including the son of a retired SP-rank officer, were detained on Friday in connection with the stay of an adult film actor at the govt-run Circuit House here on Dec 1, 2025. Investigators are probing how the actor was accommodated at the circuit house and whether due procedures were followed while allotting the room.According to police sources, a local travel operator had provided a luxury vehicle on hire to the owner of a private firm in Uditnagar. The actor was allegedly ferried from Jharsuguda airport to Rourkela in the vehicle. Police suspect that the son of the retired police officer, who is reportedly known to the firm owner, played a role in arranging accommodation for her at the circuit house. The matter came to light after videos allegedly shared by the actor on social media showed portions of her road journey from Jharsuguda to Rourkela and the interiors of the circuit house.Following the controversy, police launched an inquiry on Thursday evening and detained the travel agency owner, the retired officer’s son and a co-owner of the private firm for questioning. Officials are examining the circumstances under which the booking was made and the purpose of visit. Police have also questioned circuit house staff, owner of the luxury vehicle and its driver as part of the investigation.A senior police officer said interrogation of the detained persons was on and further action would be taken based on the findings of the probe. Officials have not yet disclosed whether any violations were detected in the allotment of rooms at the govt facility.
