Nagpur: General Post Office (GPO) will soon open a second Aadhaar counter to address growing rush for new enrolments or updates. The move comes after long queues and token shortages left many applicants waiting for hours or returning without completing their work related to Aadhaar. At present, the GPO operates a single Aadhaar counter that serves around 30 to 40 people daily. Services offered include fresh Aadhaar enrolment, mobile number updates, corrections to names and addresses, and update related to biometrics. With city’s expanding urban limits and increasing footfall from suburban areas, the existing counter has been proving insufficient to serve citizens, resulting in delays and inconvenience to them.
