Srinagar, Oct 17: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday expressed support for agriculture graduates protesting over recruitment issues, saying their 27-day peaceful protest reflects the “deep frustration” among qualified youth in the region.
In a post on X, Mehbooba Mufti wrote, “27 days of peaceful protest reflect the deep frustration of J&K’s qualified agriculture graduates. Dedicated professionals should not have to take to the streets simply to ask for fair recruitment.”
“The administration must address the root of the crisis by reviewing SRO-433 and SRO-442 for the AEO and JAEO cadres. Years of hard earned education must lead to opportunity, not uncertainty. Our educated youth deserve dignity, fair opportunities, and the right to serve J&K,” the post reads.
