Rohtak: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, marked a major international milestone after 25 of its researchers—comprising 15 faculty members and 10 research scholars—featured among the world’s top 2% scientists for their research contributions in 2025.The prestigious global recognition was published on Wednesday in the Updated Science-Wide Author Databases of Standardised Citation Indicators, compiled by Stanford University, USA, and published by Elsevier BV.The standardised database evaluates and identifies top global researchers based on rigorous citation indicators and measured research impact metrics.Highlighting a rare dual distinction, four faculty members—CS Pundir, Narasimhan B, Sarvajeet Singh Gill, and Baljeet Singh Yadav—earned recognition across both single-year (2025) research contribution and career-long impact categories.Congratulating the researchers, MDU vice-chancellor Milap Punia called the achievement a matter of immense pride for the institution.“The growing presence of our researchers in international research rankings is a testimony to the strengthening research ecosystem at MDU,” Punia said, adding that the university will continue promoting high-quality and globally visible research.Echoing similar sentiments, MDU dean of academic affairs Randeep Rana and registrar Sandeep Bansal stated that the global recognition reflects the university’s expanding research culture and commitment to academic excellence.
