Patna: Security was stepped up at the Patna high court on Tuesday after a packet containing 25 live cartridges of 6.35 bore was found lying in the common room of the Lawyers’ Association, located at the south-west corner of the old high court building.A distress call was made to the high court security officer soon. Security personnel and police reached the spot, seized the cartridges and initiated an inquiry into the matter.A delegation of lawyers later met Acting Chief Justice Sudhir Singh and apprised him of the incident. The Acting CJ assured the lawyers of enhanced security arrangements on the court premises. Police are investigating how the cartridges reached the premises and are examining all possible angles.
