Teams from the Sarila and Rath forest departments, along with police, took charge and carried out combing operations around the Bundelkhand Expressway throughout the night to search for the tiger, but it was not spotted anywhere. Police also made public announcements in Chikasi village and surrounding villages, appealing to people to remain cautious and inform police if the tiger is sighted.The post circulated on internet media stated that the tiger was spotted before the Chikasi Betwa river bridge when the District Panchayat member’s car was passing.Regional Forest Officer Sarila Amit Srivastava said that upon receiving information, teams from the Sarila and Rath forest departments along with police conducted combing operations around the Bundelkhand Expressway throughout the night and search operations were still ongoing, although the circulated photo appeared suspicious. He said there was no information about any incident caused by the tiger.Station House Officer Chikasi Mayank Singh Chandel said the photo appeared to be old, but people had still been asked to take precautions.
