Kanpur: A sleeper bus, reportedly travelling at over 100 km per hour, collided with a moving trailer near Raghurampur village in the Bangarmau area on the Agra–Lucknow Expressway in Unnao early Sunday, injuring 23 passengers, including seven critically.The accident occurred around 6 am while the bus was travelling from Delhi to Azamgarh. According to reports, the driver allegedly dozed off, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into the truck ahead. The impact was so severe that the front section of the bus was extensively damaged.After receiving the information, Kotwali in-charge Akhilesh Chandra Pandey reached the spot along with police personnel. Rescue and relief operations were carried out with the assistance of UPIDA workers. Passengers trapped inside the bus were pulled out and rushed to the Community Health Centre in Bangarmau. Thirteen passengers have been referred to the district hospital due to serious injuries.Traffic on the expressway was temporarily disrupted after the accident. Police, along with UPEIDA workers, later cleared the damaged bus and truck from the site to restore normal traffic movement.
