Amravati: A youngster was stabbed to death in Lakshmi Nagar under Gadgenagar police station limits in the early hours of Sunday, allegedly over an old dispute. Police have arrested one of the accused and detained two juveniles in conflict with law. One more juvenile is absconding, said police.According to police, the incident took place around 1.30am near a flour mill, where the accused allegedly attacked the youngster, identified as Santosh Ban (22), a resident of Kapilvastu Nagar, with knives. Friends rushed Santosh to the District General Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.A team from Gadgenagar police station conducted a panchnama, and registered a case of murder. Search operation led to the arrest of Sahil Mavaskar, (22), a resident of Jaysiyaram Nagar.As per preliminary findings, the deceased had allegedly injured one of the accused during an assault a few years ago, said police. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact motive and sequence of events.This is the 12th murder reported in Amravati in the last 100 days, raising concerns among citizens.
