Nagpur: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Mumbai Zonal Unit, seized 210 kg ganja, valued at approximately 20 crore, after intercepting a truck near Pardi on Saturday. Four persons were arrested and taken to Mumbai for further investigation. Sources said the NCB was tracking the vehicle’s movement from another state. The contraband, originating from the Sambalpur region in Odisha, was concealed among metal sheets cargo in the truck bearing West Bengal registration number plate. The ganja was reportedly headed for bulk distribution in cities including Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Nashik, Pune and Mumbai, said sources.Acting on specific intelligence, officials first nabbed two persons, P Kumar and R Kumar, after stopping the truck near the Pardi police station limits. Their sustained questioning led to the arrest of two Nagpur-based distributors, identified only as Patil and Varma. The case was registered under the NDPS Act.
