Nagpur: Two minor girls were allegedly sexually abused in separate incidents by men residing in their neighbourhood in Kamptee. In the first case, a 10-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her 32-year-old neighbour, a labourer. The accused sent the survivor’s brother out on the pretext of some cycle work and then committed the crime when the girl was alone in her house. A girl, who witnessed the act, alerted the victim’s family. The survivor later narrated the incident to her parents. New Kamptee police registered the FIR and immediately arrested the accused under the POCSO Act.In the second incident, a 14-year-old girl was abused by a 25-year-old man she had known for three months. The accused is also from the same neighbourhood in Kamptee. The cops booked the accused under POCSO, but he managed to sneak away. The police authorities say his arrest is imminent.
