Rourkela: Rourkela police on Tuesday busted Rs 14.36 lakh digital arrest cyber fraud case in which a local resident had been cheated and arrested two members of an inter-state syndicate from Mumbai. The arrested duo were identified as Nayan Lalit Nathwani, 47, and Dhabal Paresh Pandya, 35, both GST brokers. Police seized two mobile phones and documents linked to financial transfers from them.Verification of their bank accounts revealed multiple cyber fraud cases across Maharashtra, UP, Telangana and Odisha. The Rourkela case was registered in Cyber police station here on March 10. “An international gang is operating on this. Police are working to trace other members of the syndicate and additional money trail,” said Brijesh Kumar Rai, DIG of Police, western range, Rourkela.
