New Delhi: Two Indian nationals aboard the Dutch-flagged vessel MV Hondius have been evacuated in the Netherlands and are healthy and safe.
According to a statement issued by the Embassy of India in Madrid, Spain, the two individuals who were travelling as crew members are asymptomatic and will be quarantined as per protocol.
The ambassador is in close contact with Spanish authorities and is regularly monitoring the situation to assure their well-being and safety, it added.
MV Hondius, a cruise carrying around 150 individuals, has arrived at the Canary Islands in Spain after a suspected hantavirus outbreak, which reportedly led to the deaths of six people as per the World Health Organisation.
