Chatra: Two men were arrested with 21.1 grams of brown sugar under Sadar police station limits of the district late on Sunday. An SUV and two mobile phones were also seized from them. The seized contraband is priced at Rs 4 lakh.The accused were identified as Vikas Kumar Dangi and Ravi Kumar, both aged 24, and residents of Pitij village under Itkhori police station limits of the district. They were arrested during a raid near Bhedi Farm on Lakhanpur Dam Road.Chatra sub-divisional police officer Sunny Vardhan said the operation was carried out based on a tip-off received by SP Animesh Naithany received a tip-off on illegal drug trade.Police said the duo were waiting near the dam to deliver drugs to buyers from outside the district. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and both have been sent to judicial custody.
