Jaipur: Hanumangarh police arrested two drug traffickers with 725 grams of heroin in their possession worth about Rs 1.5 crore, SP Narendra Singh Meena said Sunday. He identified the duo as Simarjeet Singh (20) and Arshdeep Singh (21), both residents of Ramsara village in Bathinda district of Punjab.Meena said the action was part of a drive against drug trafficking and other organised crimes, including illegal arms, gambling, and property-related offences.He said a team led by Sangaria SHO Amar Singh set up a checkpoint on the Jamnagar-Amritsar highway (Bharatmala Road) near Rohi Ratanpura. The team intercepted the duo on a motorcycle and recovered 725 grams of illegal heroin from their possession.A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at Sangaria police station and interrogation is underway to trace the supply chain and identify other members of the network, Meena said, adding that the investigation is being carried out by SHO Jagdish Singh of Talwara police station.
