Keonjhar: Two people were killed and two others were critically injured after two motorcycles collided head-on in Mirigisinga area under Champua police station limits on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Rajesh Munda (23) and Subash Giri (40) from Mangalpur area.According to reports, Giri and Munda of Mangalpur village were returning home from Chimila village on a motorcycle Sunday evening when they collided head-on with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction near Kahnu Sahi. Giri died on the spot.A police team reached the spot and shifted the other three people to Champua sub-divisional hospital in critical condition, where Munda succumbed to his injuries. Later that night, the injured two were referred to Keonjhar DHH as their condition worsened. Police are investigating the incident and have seized both bikes. After post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to their family members. Swarup Ranjan Nayak, IIC Champua, said, “The incident happen following to head on collision. Further investigation is ongoing.”
