Ahmedabad: Amraiwadi police have registered a case of murder against a 19-year-old youth after he allegedly stabbed a migrant labourer following a late-night argument outside the deceased’s home in Amraiwadi. The complaint was filed by the labourer’s wife, Sangeeta Chauhan. She told police her family has been living in a rented house near Vaghjibhai Estate for the past two months. She and Kishan were home on Wednesday night when they heard commotion outside. They saw five unknown boys standing near their door. Among them was one she had often seen sitting with friends near a paper-cutting shop in the area, Sangeeta told police. The youth was gargling from water taken from her container and allegedly threw the lid to the ground.When Kishan questioned him, the accused got into an argument, while the other youths left the spot. Pulling a large knife from his waistband, he allegedly stabbed Kishan on the chest, in the right arm and the back. He fled after Sangeeta raised an alarm. Kishan was declared dead on arrival at LG Hospital.
