Gurgaon: At least 180 properties in the licensed colonies have received department of town and country planning (DTCP) notices for illegal construction and misuse of residential properties.DTCP has deployed teams to conduct a comprehensive survey of licencsed colonies across the city following directions from Supreme Court. DTCP has also been directed to prepare and forward a draft affidavit by Sept 7 for the action taken report to be submitted before SC.Town planner Amit Khatri has directed the district town planners (enforcement) of the city and Faridabad to identify unauthorised construction, violations of approved building plans and misuse of buildings in licensed colonies. Following the directions, the senior town planner (Gurgaon Circle) has constituted nine teams for the exercise.Senior town planner Sanjay Kumar told TOI, “Teams have been constituted for the survey and further action in the city’s licensed colonies and necessary directions have been issued to enforcement and planning teams.”The survey has been ordered to be completed by Aug 15, with the teams required to submit daily reports.Officials will check properties for construction carried out in violation of sanctioned building plans, unauthorised changes in use and other violations. Each violation will also be marked on the latest approved layout plan of the respective colony.Once the survey is completed, property owners found violating norms will be issued notices under the applicable rules. Depending on the nature of the violation and the response to the notices, the department may initiate sealing or demolition of unauthorised construction.The teams have been assigned extensive areas across the city. The first team will cover sectors 30, 32, 39-41, 45-46, South City-1, Sushant Lok-1, SS Linden and sectors 84-85. The second team will survey sectors 1-23, 36-37, 81-86, 88-89 and 99-115, besides Palam Vihar and Vatika areas. The third team will cover sectors 55-57, Sushant Lok-2 and 3, RD City and South City-2, while the fourth will inspect sectors 49-51, Rosewood City, Uppal Southend, Nirvana Country and Mayfield Garden. Other teams have been assigned areas including sectors 27, 43, 47-48, 52, 71, 73 and 89-95, along with Greenwood City, Ramprastha City, Sobha International City, Malibu Town, Emaar and BPTP areas. The ninth team will compile the survey lists, coordinate issuance of notices and monitor subsequent enforcement action.
