A 17-year-old Class XI student was killed after a speeding truck ran over her near Pal Crossing in Mailhan village on Friday morning.The victim, Prachi of Raini, was riding her bicycle to her coaching class around 7.30am when the truck hit her from behind. She fell on the road and got trapped under the vehicle, following which she was dragged for nearly 30 metres before the driver halted, police said. Locals chased down the driver, thrashed him and vandalised the truck before handing him over to the police.
