Coimbatore: A total of 1,637 students graduated from the Government Arts College (Autonomous), Coimbatore on Monday. As many as 1,145 undergraduate students (2022–2025 batch) and 492 were postgraduate students (2023–2025 batch) received their degrees at the college’s 35th Graduation Day ceremony.Dr R Premkumar, member, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), was the chief guest. Addressing the graduates, he emphasised on the rapidly changing global landscape. He said the world of business and industry is undergoing constant transformation driven by technological advancements. He highlighted that fields such as artificial intelligence and advanced analytics are creating vast opportunities for those who can adapt quickly and think innovatively.He noted that industries today expect professionals to be technologically proficient and well-versed in all aspects of business, enabling them not only to respond to change but also anticipate disruptions and build sustainable strategies.Sharing a motivational perspective, he stressed the importance of self-discipline and consistency. “Even small commitments matter. Repeatedly breaking them weakens self-trust, while honouring them strengthens confidence and leads to long-term success,” he said.He urged students to embrace change, stay committed to their goals and strive for continuous improvement, adding that sustained small efforts can lead to significant transformation over time.
